I deem it my pleasure to share my yogic learning experiences with Ms Aarthi Jayakumar , though for a short stint of six months. As an experienced instructor she was chosen as my personal one on one coach. As an instructor, considering my age , as a senior citizen, she always walked that extra mile in finding out my interest level, ability level and more so she instilled the kind of confidence with her encouraging smile for any student to be feeling that there is a master by name Ms Aarthi who would put things back in place. Very professional in her approach , and with frequent systematic follow ups, and suggesting corrective measures on time is her added qualities as an yoga teacher. Even now though I am away in US ,there is always a connect in finding out about my welfare, my health status etc.from her end .
The connect is more personal now and she is a great teacher with lots of patience, smile and devotion in her work. I still plan to continue with my practices under her guidance once I am able to get back to India and focus more on my regular routine. I started prenatal yoga classes with Aarthi about one and half months ago. I had no idea what to expect and what the classes would be like. During my first interaction with Aarthi, I was set at ease and she explained all about the concept of prenatal yoga and took the time to understand me, my body and my comfort levels. I am finding the classes very useful especially because it helps me focus and concentrate more on my breathing and mindfullness, which is something I always found difficult. If I have any small aches or discomforts, she addresses them right away and focusses on those muscle groups during classes with her. Aarthi is also great at following up and keeping in touch to make sure I am doing alright through the pregnancy.
